Banning Events
The City of Banning also known as Stagecoach Town USA has held their annual Stagecoach Days Event in October Since 1957. The parade downtown is followed by a three day carnival out at the Dysart park and rodeo grounds. Of course the main event is the professional Rodeo on the last day.
The Morongo band of Indians hold their annual Powwow called Thunder and Lightning every September next to the casino. The tribe also has their annual Earth Day Event at the park on the reservation. The Makli Museum has special events as well.
Repplier park has been presenting a summer concert series during the summer. A wide variety of mostly cover bands have entertained local residents for the past few years. you will find local food vendors in the parking lot and a few raffles during the evening. Come early as it fills up fast.
The Banning Cultural Alliance holds events throughout the year. check with them for the latest arts and crafts contests.
Local school children love the tours and events put on by the historical Gilman Ranch and Wagon Museum. You can learn how to pan for gold or blacksmith. For a small fee you can tour the Wagon Mueseum and the Gilman Ranch House. You will also find a great hiking trail and if you are lucky a blood orange to eat. They have many events throughout the year with Christmas being the biggest one. You only pay a small parking fee for the event. Santa can be found alond with firetruck rides, demonstrations and more.
